Registered Manager

Up to £60,000 a year - Full-time, Permanent
(Depending on Experience)

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager for a new Children’s Home in Bexley. The home specialises in supporting children and young people with EBD, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and autism (ASD). Experience within this client group would be highly desirable.

We are seeking a manager with excellent leadership and communication skills to develop and grow this new service. You will play a pivotal role in setting up and managing a brand new children’s home and will be involved in recruiting a new staff team.

We need a dedicated and resilient manager who is passionate about working with children and young people. You should be able to create a nurturing and safe environment where children can thrive, while ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted inspection framework. A strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements, including Regulation 44 and Regulation 45, is essential.

    Passionate about providing exceptional care for children and young people A manager to make a difference supporting the children/young people to achieve the best possible outcomes. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team.
  • Qualifications and Requirements
    Minimum of 2years experience of working as Children's Home Registered Manager Extensive knowledge of Children’s Home Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted guidelines. Must have strong understanding of safeguarding. Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks. Level 5 Diploma in leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification). Can do and positive attitude. Level 3 or 4 Diploma children and young people workforce (or equivalent qualification).
  • Leadership
    Recruit, develop, supervise a qualified and motivated care team. Provide monthly supervisions, training, and appraisals, ensuring high standards of performance. Promote a positive and collaborative team, ensuring they align with the values and principles of Carefocal Homes.

  • Key Responsibilities
    Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes regulations. Promote independence and resilience while managing challenging behaviours effectively. Oversee care plans, admissions referrals, and risk assessments. Provide a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment, safeguarding the wellbeing of the young people in care. Support young people’s emotional and behavioural development, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding outcomes.
